Very cool! It's like Balatro but for chess, they should call is "Bear King" because bear was the villain. THE KING BUILD IS SO CRAZY OP I LITERALLY OWNED THE ENTIRE GAME. you should get the world tarot card and temperance, and win the game like i did.

I played a bit but im not sure how important is the scoring aspect really compared to Balatro.
The scoring is basically the make or break part and also the objective in Balatro, but it doesnt feel like it's very important here except when it's part of the objective? most of the time im just sending my rook and it wreaks havoc.
Yeah, i’ve gotten the same feedback. Im currently working on balance changes and hopefully i have something more concise to give the players soon :-) Thanks for the feedback and for playing!
I just played it. Combining Temperance + Rook felt insanely strong—I basically wiped out everyone with just a single rook. The art and mechanics really come together nicely.
Just noticed one small visual issue: when the target score reaches a high number, the number itself gets cut off/hidden, so only my own score remains visible.
Awesome work overall, I really enjoyed it! Looking forward to seeing where you take it next.
